This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For these upcoming kindergarteners, now 1st graders, this is only their 2nd year being in a school building since COVID hit. They are still unsure about a lot of things and it will be their first experience being in a big class with a lot of learning while still playing catch-up from the pandemic. In order to help the students transition and feel like they belong, I would love for my students to have special book baggies. These book baggies will help them see what they have inside, won't fall apart (we currently use Ziploc bags), and will make them feel even more special. I plan on personalizing each bag with their names on it in vinyl and using the holder at the top to put their Book Shopping Card. This card tells each student what day they need to switch their books and how many of each leveled book they need. Having these book baggies will make it easy to read and won't get lost. I am using all of my knowledge from kindergarten to make 1st grade even more exciting.
Please help us receive book baggies that won't fall apart and will keep us organized.
