This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am one lucky person; I get to spend my day "working" with preschool kids. My students are three to five-year-old energetic kids. Our Head Start center is new, but unfortunately, our playground is covered in a blacktop surface with zero equipment. With no more budget to spend, I am trying to come up with ideas to bring learning/playing outdoors and building relationships safely.
Having a large sandbox to play in will allow my students to develop their motor, sensor, creative, and social skills.
I can just imagine how much fun the children will have using their engineering skills to build cities and roads, use different tools to discover ancient fossils, or even pretend to be chefs and use measuring cups to prepare meals for their friends.
