Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in a high-poverty area. My school has provided my students with laptops to use in furthering their education of technology.

My students are 1st graders that are English language learners who are determined to learn how to read and write.

They are motivated and I want to support them with what they need to become better readers and writers.

Even though my school does not have all the technology necessary for learning, we still rank number one in our network. People say that children today are "technology children." This means that children today are growing up with technology all around them. I want to give my students every opportunity to learn despite everything going on.

My Project

My school has computers and I have been integrating more and more technology into lessons. But, the problem is it can be hard to hear videos or material on the speakers we have in the class. Due to COVID the students are separated at their seats and some of the students cannot hear clearly; even when the room is silent.

There are so many great videos to help students grasp concepts we are learning about, but the students cannot hear them.

Please help us enhance our learning by donating to our classroom.

On the other side of a technology rich learning experience the students need basics such as pencils, scissors, and glue. These students go through material quickly. They have a thirst for knowledge and love learning. But, that takes basic materials and these students could really use some new materials.
