This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am so lucky to work with an amazing bunch of motivated special needs and English language learners. We are in a diverse community where many backgrounds are represented. Our school also has Title One status which reflects our community, but not our drive!
My students are determined to succeed regardless of what it may look like this year.
I believe that the most valuable learning children do is when they make all project planning decisions and see them through. Students, whether they are remote, in person, or a hybrid of the two, benefit most when learning is hands-on. We are hopeful to get some ink donated for our color printer and copier to help us continue to keep our school newspaper going! We started the newspaper two years ago and would love to keep it going to help our community stay unified in a world of remote and blended learning. I would be so appreciative of your support!
My Project
As we approach another challenging school year, it is important that a teacher is able to incorporate stress relieving activities for students. That being said, who doesn’t enjoy playing and building with Legos?! Not only will this serve as the hallmark of our classroom’s calm corner, but it will also encourage students to think like scientists, engineers, mathematicians, artists, you name it! I would be oh so grateful for any and all donations that could be made to this project as I wish I was able to do this on my own but cannot. Thank you for supporting teachers. We need you more than ever!
