I'm a forever learner and want my students to be as well. In my short time teaching, I've learned my kiddos a lot of the time just want love and a chance to be heard. They go through so much each and every day. School is something they look forward to and the passion they give is incredible.
When my students come to school, they are excited because they are given the supplies they need and opportunities that they may not have at home.
Many of these children are performing below grade level and need to make learning gains that will put them back to the grade level they should be performing at. This project will continue to help my students make learning gains, improve reading and speaking skills and be good citizens in our community.
My Project
These pieces of technology being added to the classroom will be used daily. This throwable microphone will let students speak and know their voice is heard and valued. The Qball will increase student participation in class and let the students leave my class feeling empowered. Last year we used a handheld microphone in class but this throwable microphone will allow students to be able to participate quicker and stay on task, keeping students engaged at all times. My students will use this daily to answer questions, share their writing and discuss all lessons. The Qball will be a game-changer and a fantastic addition to the ELA classroom!
