My Project
As a teacher, lesson planning is the number one priority. Slides and resources are made for each lesson for students to interact with them on the SmartBoard. In order for students to interact with resources on the SmartBoard, they need a laptop to plug in. Every lesson, we connect a laptop to the SmartBoard and the kids use the technology to solve math problems, practice spelling words, and engage with the lesson material. The majority of my students' learning happens during the full group lessons.
7 subjects, 5 days a week, 180 days each school year; that is about 6,300 lessons every school year; this ONE laptop can benefit 22 kids, for every lesson, all at once.
This laptop would be utilized by students so the lessons that are planned can come to life. The laptop would be connected to the SmartBoard so students have access to the slides on a the big screen. I plan learning experiences for my students that will be engaging, educational, and life changing!
Students will use this laptop every day for Morning Meeting, Math, Reading, Writing, Small Group, Science, and Social Studies. By using platforms like CANVA, powerpoint, and other resources to engage my class, students would use the laptop every day of the school year during every lesson. I have so many lessons on my google drive, with this laptop, we can plug in and bring these lessons to life!
