Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students have understood the materials that can be used to compost and help build our raised garden bed. One of our older composting bins just broke. Please support our class to continue helping our environment by reducing waste, feeding our worms, and use soil for our raised beds and butterfly garden. Students have learned how to care for and maintain a vermiculture going. We will use the worm castings to enrich the soil and are where our plants will be grouping. It has been very exciting for my students to watch plants grow, the butterfly life cycle and other garden experiences.
