This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning should be a vibe. My students expect a certain energy when they enter into my 8th Grade Science classroom. Lighting aids in setting moods; this is a scientific fact. For this reason, my classroom is almost always colorful. Thus, this year I am requesting LED lamps to boarder my Smartboard and whiteboard, and a floor lamp which comes with a multi-color system. I also plan to utilize the floor lamp's multi-color system for classroom management (i.e. red = voice level zero, green = move to the next station during station time, etc.).

Scholars in 2022 could benefit greatly from a decrease in screen time and an increase in "pen-to-paper" engagement activities/knowledge-based games, while simultaneously sharpening their IT skills.

Materials like mini whiteboards, dry-erase markers/erasers, poster paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks, etc., help to make this possible.
