My Project
Elementary school should be a positive experience for children. My students, from low-income families, are excited to learn, but many of them lack basic school supplies. With your help, they can learn about the significance of water and the role it plays in our environment and personal lives. Learning about the earth and the need to use less plastic is a lesson we are working on. My intention is to develop an activity to get students thinking about the many ways that people use freshwater, and how we can conserve this precious and fundamental natural resource. We will discuss issues related to clean water availability, analyze water-use data and start to think about how they consume and can conserve water.
Using these tumblers will be a concrete way of measuring not only drinking water but saving the plastic that would've been used with ordinary water bottles.
These awesome water bottles will engage them so they can learn all about the life and planet-saving qualities of water!
More than half of students from low‑income households
