This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach art at a Title I school, which at times can be challenging to get funding for supplies.
What I love about my school is that my students know how to match your efforts; when you give them 100% they give you 110% of their effort.
My students might not have a lot in terms of material things or financial support, but they do know how to care when someone cares about them!
My Project
Students will be using these materials in class to help preserve their paints so that we have less paint wasted and more paint used on paintings. Currently, we just mix paint, and then we have to throw away any of the unused paint. These palettes and paper will help students conserve paint in the classroom. It will also let students start where they left off keeping all their mixed colors in their palettes from drying out. Donating to this project will help our class be able to not only have a positive impact on the environment by wasting less, but it will also save money.
