Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are so eager to learn. This stems from not having resources, education, or finances available to them to expand their learning outside of the classroom. Our students are mostly low income, inner-city, and English Language Learners. We have 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students.
As teachers, we are dedicated to bringing education to our students beyond the standard state curriculum.
This is mostly with science, math, and reading. We are hoping to encourage students to think beyond school and in turn, will be a part of their future with college and career.
My Project
We use programs on the laptop for all of our subjects. Technology is prominent in our classrooms and each student needs their own set of headphones. Headphones will keep the voices, instructions, and music in the students ears so others won't hear it. Also, it will help to avoid distractions so they can focus. This way students can get their work done at their own pace. It would be very loud and the students would not be able to hear the computer programs clearly if they were played without headphones.
