My Students
My students are in grades 1-6 with different disabilities. The disabilities range from hearing impairment, autism and reading disabilities.
Our school is located in Moore, Oklahoma.
Some of my students were impacted by the May 20th tornado. We are trying to rebuild our community and serve students with limited supplies. My students are eager to learn and enjoy being successful in the classroom.
My Project
These materials will help my students with comprehension skills. These Hot Dots pens are a hands on tool that my students can physically touch and get immediate feedback. Students with reading disabilities have a hard time comprehending long passages. These tools will allow my students will be able to increase their comprehension skills.
Reading is the key to success.
When children are not able to read or understand what they are reading they begin to withdraw and disengage. I want my students to enjoy reading and take pride in their abilities. With your help they can achieve their goals.
