My Project
Each school year I have the pleasure of working with both former and new students. I'm excited to kick off this school year being able to provide students with some of their basic needs.
Some of our students come to school hungry, and they find it difficult to focus in class.
I always make an effort to have something to give them to snack on until lunch time. The snacks that I requested will be greatly appreciated by the students and myself. In addition, the school has a Personal Care Closet, which is used by the students daily. As we begin the school year, we stand in need of personal hygiene products to meet the needs of our students. So I requested soap, body wash, lotion, feminine hygiene products and mouth wash to help re-stock the closet.
And lastly, I assist students with job readiness and preparation. I requested a printer to be used to print portfolio documents for students in preparation for job interviews.
I believe that when a students' needs are met, they are better able to learn and to thrive. My project request seeks to help meet those basic needs.
