This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a new teacher and my goal is to build up a STEM library. I would like to start with some Lego sets for engaging activities in my STEM class.
My students learn that scientists show phenomenon through models and will use Legos to build models.
Students work independently and collaboratively to use Legos in various ways to help them show their creating and learning. My fourth and fifth grade class will utilize Legos in different ways throughout the year in STEM, so this project will be utilized throughout the school. My goal is to make every student feel like an engineer in STEM class and Legos are an engaging way to do so.
