My Students
Our students walk into class everyday full of life and readiness to learn.
They are gifted and talented individuals with endless ideas and unlimited potential to grow and achieve greater things.
That being said we know that the classroom environment is ideal for the majority of our students, however we recognize that each of our students have unique learning styles.
Because our students posses diverse learning styles, we must provide accommodations to help them make progress towards their high learning standards.
Our students are creative, fun, and willing to learn and with a little bit of help from donors like you, their education would be more meaningful and engaging.
My Project
The Lego set will be used for our gifted and talented students. We currently don't have the funding to be able to participate in the "official" Lego League but we try to supplement it with our current Lego bricks. This year’s Lego League is space themed, and the items in this DonorsChoose.org project (space & airport set, shuttle, astronaut action figures, and tiny aliens) that we would be getting would not only go along with out Lego League theme but also our science curriculum. The Legos would help the students build and create their moon base for Lego League. As they create their moon base, they have to think of problems that could occur and use the Legos and the items from this project to potentially solve the moon base's problems. This will also give the students the opportunity to explore and create their wonderful ideas.
Lego bricks are versatile and require students to use their imagination when exploring their curiosity.
These simple things can result in some pretty mighty creations.
