My students need one LEGO Minecraft The Farm, Double Sided Baseplate Mats, one LEGO DUPLO All-in-One-Pink- Box-of-Fun, and one LEGO DUPLO Town School Bus set.
I provide inclusion along with pull out therapy services.
My students range from all ages and are in the middle school setting.
I believe this is the best age group to target many skills. They range from verbal to non verbal. Kids are in the gifted with speech disorders to severe language disordered students that are functional. I love that I have all types, however just makes it a tad bit difficult to find items of all ranges.
My Project
This project requests a variety of LEGO Duplo sets including one Minecraft The Farm, one All-in-One-Pink- Box-of-Fun, one Town School Bus set, and double sided baseplate mats.
There is a book on LEGO therapy. It is evidence based that it improves eye contact, turn taking skills, direction following etc. In turn I'm always open new ideas, especially being hands-on. I can't continue to use the other teachers' materials weekly so I'm looking for my own.
Every donation I've received on here is constantly being utilized.
Recently I borrowed some LEGOs from a teacher and my autistic students immediately dove in and started building some amazing items, along with following my directions.
