This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love for STEM in our students, many of whom face systemic barriers to accessing high-quality science and technology education. The Camp Bulldog Robotics Program is designed to introduce students to engineering, coding, and robotics. With the LEGO SPIKE Essential kits, we can provide hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. These kits are age-appropriate and flexible, making them ideal for our wide grade range and mixed-ability classrooms.

We are especially committed to encouraging girls in STEM.

Research shows that early exposure to science and engineering builds confidence and interest—yet girls, particularly those of color, remain underrepresented in these fields. Camp Bulldog will include mentorship opportunities, female STEM role models, and inclusive team-based projects to engage and empower our young female learners.

The Camp Bulldog Robotics Program is designed to introduce students to engineering, coding, and robotics through an interactive, project-based curriculum. With the LEGO SPIKE Essential kits, students will build and program their own robots—developing critical skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking.

This program will directly support hundreds of students this summer, with the potential for long-term integration into our school-year curriculum. With your support, we can make STEM education accessible, exciting, and equitable for every child at Piccolo.
