LEGO Sets Needed: Help My Students Get Creative!

My Students

Our school is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in the City by the Bay. Approximately half of our school's student population participates in the free or reduced-price lunch program.

I have tried to continue to make library lessons meaningful, creative, fun, and interesting for ALL students, especially now during distance learning.

Many of the students that attend our school are the children of new immigrants, so they are mainly English language learners.

All of the students at our school love the time that they spend in our school library. Now that we are in distance learning, I visit their Zoom sessions for library time once every other week for 20 minutes. During this time, I read to them, we listen to stories online, or watch videos related to the theme of the week.

My Project

We are going into our 11th month staying at home and learning via Zoom. My students need different resources to keep their creative juices flowing!

Help me keep them busy and away from their computer screens by getting LEGO sets into their hands at home.

I have had so many generous donations in the past from DonorsChoose.org for LEGO sets for our school library and all the students have loved being able to create during their library visits.

Now they are stuck at home (and we don't know when we will be returning to campus). I am hoping that I can provide some of our students, whose families are facing challenges, with a LEGO set.
