Lego Mindstorm Collaborative Basic Programming and Robotics
My students need 2 Lego Mindstorms kits to collaboratively work as teams for 20 minutes at the end of each class.

My Students
Since the Tornado my classroom size is being reduced to at least 1/3 of it's original size. Since the students will be cramped in a small space, this will help them enjoy the learning experience.
My 7th-10th grade students come from a semi-poverty status and do not have a lot of technology at home.
I try to fill my room with experiences of travel and Microsoft Office activities to assist in their adventures. Many of these youth do not travel more than 15 minutes from their town until they are out of high school. The students learn about career opportunities that they would not normally see in a small town.
My Project
The students have never played with robotics but it will show them how to design, build, program, and watch them see their work run. The students will see how robotics increase productivity in the work place and see what innovative careers involve robotics and manufacturing.
The students will still utilize computers to program the machine but they will see their work executed before their eyes!
Thank you so much for considering my project and helping the Hornets.
