The children in our STEAM focused school are imaginative and creative wonders! As we look ahead towards next school year, we want to expand their opportunities for self-directed creativity in a new maker station in our school library. The popularity of LEGOs will draw them into the station, and spark a lot of new creations and forms of expression.
The LEGO wall is the height of construction fun for students!
There are tons of examples from maker station models on the internet and in our own school system that have inspired us to want to build one for ourselves. This project will provide us with the wall base and enough building blocks in a variety of colors to get a solid start. Once installed, our students will engage with building challenges as well as having time to just explore what they might create in the new learning environment.
