Learning and play go hand in hand. LEGO bricks are the most flexible and creative toys available. The advertised age range on most boxes is 5 years old to 99 years old.
These materials will be used to encourage students in all grades to tell stories both visually and in writing.
The best way to get students excited about writing is to find something they are enthusiastic about. Students will use the blocks to create a story that they can then write about. The goal is not only to teach the basics of stories - character, plot, and setting, but encourage students to take their writing further. LEGO bricks will give them a visual reference for their stories, allowing them to add adjectives, adverbs, and dynamic verbs to their writing. Most importantly, they will be able to use their imaginations and create.
