Help me give my students access to hands on learning through steam challenges that align with our science, language arts, and social and emotional core by having a variety of Lego brick sets.

My Students
I have the best class this year. They are so eager to learn and absorb knowledge. A lot of my students come from hard home lives and school is their safe haven. I do see a lot of need in academics and social skills because of the shut down two years ago. It has affected my students immensely.
My Project
Using Lego in the classroom will help me teach various skills that align with our state social and emotional, math, science, and language art core. Some of those skills are collaboration and interacting with others. During this process students develop creative thinking, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. These are skills that students were lacking during the 2020 COVID-19 shut down. As their teacher I am trying to focus on and implement these skills. With these tools students will be able to see themselves as creators, engineers, and innovators.
