Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting LEGO figures for our elementary students to be used in our art room. The LEGO figures will help our students work at their own level during imaginative play and also foster collaborative interactions with their classmates. The Legos will allow for students to work together or engage in projects independently. The LEGO figure sets include many diverse figures that will activate the students imagination and help them make connections to real world architecture and play. We want all grade levels Pre-K-5 and both our girls and boys to be equally engaged in building and collaborative play. The Arts teach so many important lessons. I watch as my students become more confident and learn to take chances. They learn that at times there is no right answer and that thinking creatively can help you understand many things and solve problems. New Lego Figures will be an amazing addition to our art program. Working with various materials and exploring the world of science and architecture is something every child loves and should experience.
