Lego Coding and Creativity!

Help me give my students a full lego set to begin their lego capabilities through coding and writing creativity.

My Students

My students are amazing. Although they are little, their personalities are mighty. They are extremely independent, smart, creative, funny, honest and loving five year olds, I have ever met. Their love for learning makes me feel magnificent. They continuously motivate me to find new and innovative ways to teach. My students are so animated and unique, their personalities range from hug bug, little Picasso, and mad scientist.

My "Hug Bug" is amazing, she makes sure she gives me hugs at least twice a day.

She can sense when I'm feeling off and she wraps her arms around me and tells me how much she loves me.

Next is my "mad Scientist", his curiosity drives me. He loves to investigate new topics and he comes with an abundance of facts that he loves to share with his peers. My modern Picasso is absolutely the most creative five year old I have interacted with. She sees things in a very abstract way. She is able to visualize and create amazing masterpieces. she uses a variety of different drawing tools such as paint, gel pens, crayons, markers and pastels to construct these outstanding works of arts.

My Project

This year I began experimenting with fictional story writing through lego building. This activity helped my students enhance their writing through creativity, details and writing concepts such as dialogue, settings to stories and character traits.

I would love to see my students enhance their lego creativity through writing and coding with more extensive lego supplies.

I have seen such a difference in my students excitement for writing. They are so motivated to acquire every detail in their writing to make their writing magical.

I researched lego coding and I think it would be a great introduction to coding. Computer science is on the rise and I think lego coding will get my young scholars fascinated and engrossed in it.My goal is to link something they love with something they need to learn and master.
