Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students are dealing with various mental health issues at an unprecedented level. The Mural group will provide an opportunity where students can work collaboratively to learn healthy coping skills related to their personal experiences.
The goal of this program is to provide students with coping strategies to create a safe space to grow, learn, and celebrate our school’s diversity through this Mural Art Group.
For this program to be successful my students need enrichment tools such as art tools, art brushes, and nutritious snacks. We will create a social emotional mural as a way to normalize the shared community process with their peers.
With your donation, I can empower my students to better cope with these unique and difficult challenges that would otherwise not get addressed.
