This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are striving to improve their bilingual assets in an effort to prepare them for real word application. Research has shown the cognitive benefits of the bilingual brain, the job market is in need of an increased bilingual workforce. The Scholastic Magazines would provide my students with additional resources to practice their reading skills with engaging and attractive reading material. Students can work in pairs, independently or in groups to read and share out information in cooperative structures. Classroom lessons will sharpen students communicative skills in both target languages.
