This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in Kindergarten and 1st grade and qualify for Special Education support in the general education classroom. My students are part of the inclusive setting but require special services such as accommodations, modifications, and small group instruction to achieve in school. In addition, my services not only benefit my students with special abilities but also all the students in the classes I service. My students don't let their disabilities hold them back, therefore, I aim to make each school day engaging and exciting!

My Project
Help me enhance small group literacy instruction for my struggling readers and writers. My students are motivated to read and write, however they need extra support to meet their academic goals. The teaching easel, magnetic letters, and writing paper will help make guided reading and writing more interactive and fun! Kindergarten and First Grade are crucial years for gaining reading and writing skills, which students will build on every school year. Therefore, I try my best to support my students so that they won't be left behind struggling but with the right tools, become successful readers and writers.
