My Project

I am requesting your support in providing iPads for my District 75, 8:1:1 class. As a teacher in this specialized class, I work with students who have autism, many of whom are non-verbal. These iPads will be an invaluable tool in helping my students to communicate and participate in their learning.

Currently, we face challenges in finding ways for our non-verbal students to express themselves and share their thoughts and ideas.

With the use of iPads, we can provide them with a platform to give their voice and be actively engaged in their learning. The touch screen technology is especially beneficial for our students, who often struggle with fine motor skills.

In addition to communication, these iPads will also enhance our students' learning experience. Our classwork and assessments are often done on tablets, and having access to iPads will make these tools easily accessible for our students. With the use of educational apps and interactive programs, we can cater to their individual learning needs and make the learning process more engaging and effective.
