Learning with Technology

My students need 2 Asus Flip Chromebooks in order to make instruction more relevant to the real world.

My Students

My students need to be able to access the Internet in order to make math and science more meaningful to them. They need to be able to make connections with real world examples which could easily be accessed online with a flip book.

I have two classes with a total of fifty fifth graders and only three desktop computers in the classroom.

My students have a wide range of abilities which would greatly benefit from the use of technology. Many need small group instruction and a differentiated classroom setting. Our school is rapidly growing and with that, we are stretching our technology thin. The students have a desire to learn with technology, and I would like to be able to provide that for them.

My Project

My students will use these devices(Asus Flip Books) to write across the curriculum and to make connections to the real world. I envision using them in small groups for differentiation. Students will be able to utilize Google Apps and create forms to submit their work and research topics online.

This project will ensure that my students will be staying in tune with the changing world around them.

Most of all, this project will keep the students engaged in their learning, which is by far what we all want for our students.
