Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a kindergarten inclusion teacher in a very high-need community. My school only has money for the essential materials. The teachers are responsible for any other materials, including everything from paper for copies to pencils.
We are in need of center activities. Everyday the students are broken into groups for guided reading and math. These puzzles would be a fun way of reinforcing important topics during this time of the day.
I am requesting various puzzles that cover literacy, math and science. This donation would buy many puzzles including important topics like the following: phonics, sight words, story sequencing, colors, before/after, opposites, rhyming words, shapes, patterns, counting, numbers, addition, plants, seasons, animals, insects, habitats,and many more. These will help to reinforce what we are teaching them in a less stressful way. I also asked for a few storage containers to keep these puzzles categorized and easily accessible to the students.
