My students need photo ink cartridges and photo paper to complete this project.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. H.'s classroom raised $281
This project is fully funded
My project needs photo ink and paper for a printer to teach special needs students from age 12 through 16. My students are physically, visually, hearing, and intellectually disabled. There are 10 students that will have use of this meaningful project. We are in a middle school class at an urban Middle School and 99% of our students are on free lunch. Some students are non-verbal and can only communicate their needs through use of pictures.
Our curriculum is purely functional. Our students are striving to learn the basic life skills to adapt to their environment. We often go into the community for instruction. Students learn functional skills such as shopping for groceries, cooking, how to order and pay for food at restaurants, etc. In order for students to understand what they need to do in these situations, pictures are needed. A digital camera and photo printer are needed for our students to print and discuss what they learned in the community. We are in need of ink and paper for printing needs.
This would foster the communication needs of our nonverbal students to be met. Our students are highly engaged by seeing pictures of themselves, and this promotes learning. This is the only way our students will learn since they are not able to read.
The use of pictures would help create a life long memory of what they are learning in school and increase communication needs.
My project needs photo ink and photo paper. Please help our student obtain the skills needed for daily life skills.
