My Project
My students are special because they are curious, energetic, and competitive. I plan to capitalize on these attributes during lunch once a month during lunch. Students sit in groups during lunch. I will give them a box of LEGOs and create a competition to see which groups can assemble the Legos promptly. The winners will be allowed to enter the lunch line first and have bragging rights for the week. We are a STEM school and it is our goal to introduce many ways for students to work on creating and assembling items. I want them to learn to work collaboratively to solve a problem and work within the confines of a time frame.
