My Students
We want a LEGO Club! Our school is filled with engaged active learners eager to participate in after school programs.
I work at a very large elementary school of about 750 students in Missouri!
While we do have after school clubs, the large population limits how many kids can actually participate in after school activities. I am a kindergarten teacher who is wanting to open up an after school Lego Club for Kindergarten- 5th grade students in order to give more children the opportunity to participate in an after school club. This program will encourage students of all ages to build, create, explore, work collaboratively with friends and be challenged!
My Project
The Lego supplies requested will be used in our after school Lego building club. The students will work independently and in groups to complete building challenges each week. Students will be learning to problem-solve, engineering building skills, improve fine-motor skills, build team work, practice communication skills, and boost creativity.
Donations of the Legos will give more children the opportunity to participate in an after school activity.
These Legos will be used with students from kindergarten to 5th grade to promote creativity, building, social skills, fine motor skills, communication skills, and success in our Lego club.
