My Students
I have eight students in my autism classroom. They require special instruction in all academic areas and in social interaction with peers. Most of my students have difficulty with pencil to paper tasks and need to use adaptive books and materials.
My students like to do their academic instruction with a variety of adapted materials, but can't access the adapted materials independently.
I love that my students love using adapted material in their learning, but have no storage where they can access the adaptive materials.
My Project
Having these basic materials gives me the opportunity to adapt learning resources for my students. My students are unable to learn the traditional with paper and pencil. They need their learning materials adapted and the ability to hold up. Using card stock and laminating sheets help keep our learning materials durable.
Having these basic supplies that my students use daily will give them the opportunity to learn in the way that benefits them and their learning style.
I use the card stock and laminating sheets to make their independent task boxes, reading and math centers. Having use the laminating sheets and card stock will help the learning materials last for years to come.
