Help me give my students markers, magnetic tiles, and other engaging materials, such as pop-its, which provide a fun way to learn how to spell and read new and complex words.
My students are transitioning out of kindergarten and are going to be meeting the challenges that come with first grade. In order to make this switch smooth and easy, having access to materials that are engaging is essential to helping my students feel successful.
Hands on materials such as pop-its for spelling, Mr.Sketch smelly markers for completing math problems, and culturally relevant books for students to make connections to, will allow my students to have fun while learning the challenging curriculum in our classroom.
Color pens, stamps, and magnetic tiles will give students access to materials that are fun to use while learning.
The Crayola markers allow students to decorate their work and the clear duct tape allows for organization of the markers. I tape the markers together so students don't have to struggle with boxes and they don't lose the colors. The make-up pads are an easy way for students to erase their white boards. Also, with play-dough students can use their imaginations while taking brain breaks in between learning tasks, as well as use it when making numbers and letters to enhance their fine motor skills.
