Learning with Engaging Activities

My Students

My classroom is home to 29 creative and energetic fifth graders. They are eager and excited to learn in all subject areas! Help me create and maintain their stamina for education by playing games as they are learning!

At our school, we believe that learning comes first.

My students are very creative, and they love to share. Each day they come to school with a smile on their face and they are eager to start the day. They are excited to embrace new opportunities and work through the challenges. They are not afraid to try to use all available resources to show what they know. They love to create, share, and practice the concepts that they have learned across every curriculum. It is important that I am able to introduce them to all subject areas and time is a valuable resource in our classroom and every minute of the day matters.

My Project

Now that my students are back in the classroom full time, we have had to re-teach concepts of how to learn and interact appropriately with other students. Using games is one of the strategies that provide a comfortable environment that allows students to connect socially with their friends. It still allows me as the teacher to introduce social-emotional lessons into the class, along with other content areas.

Students respond well when they have a chance to engage in fun activities that allow them to interact with students, rather than sitting at their desks listening to a teacher lecture.

I find this to be especially true after being at home during a period of remote learning because of Covid.
