My Students
Our school is full of school spirit! We are rural and we are small. In our classroom we have over half of our students receiving free breakfast and lunch daily. Although there is a diversity in socioeconomic status, everyone is accepted into the school "community".
Our classroom is full of 18 active, preschool learners.
We love hands-on learning activities that keep children interested and excited about learning. We love to cook, dance, explore, and make memories that build vocabularies and make lifelong learners!
My Project
In an effort to keep learning fun and interactive, I would like to purchase Clifford The Big Red Dog magazines from Scholastic. Having used this magazine before I feel that it will be a great addition to our classroom. Each month we will receive a new set of seasonal magazines for our children to enjoy in class and then to take home and enjoy with their family. I feel that this is a great school/home connection.
In addition to our magazines I would like to add a puppet to introduce the magazine to the children each week.
This will be especially fun and make the children excited about having a new issue. Also, we will have a Clifford book and plush to allow the children to take home during the year. We are excited and hopeful our project will get funded to enhance our new classroom of students.
