Welcome to 4th grade. We are from Metropolis, the official home of Superman and I have a room of "super-students."
Many of my students parents have not gone to college and live in poverty.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. Many of my students have limited resources available to them at home. Therefore making it more important then ever to provide them with necessary tools while at school.
My Project
We constantly hear how much things have changed over time. This statement is very true. Lots of things have changed, especially education and the need for technology.
In order to help our students become competitive in high school, college and the workforce, we need to give them every opportunity to enrich their learning.
One way my students can benefit from technology is to have more access to laptops. During the day we use laptops to deliver instruction, take test, research information and submit assignments.
This project is the first in a series of projects to have one to one in my class.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
