This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that I am requesting for my class are to ensure that my ELA learners have the supplies that they may not be able to get at the beginning of school. I am an English teacher and I have two classes, and there are times when we run out of certain supplies like a classroom set of headphones, markers, folders, book bags, and pencils. My goal for this project is to make sure that my students are equipped with classroom items that they may not have started the school year with and or supplies parents are not able to afford. In both of my English classes, my students are engaged in our daily lessons but they are lacking several materials needed. I would like my students to know that when they come to Ms. Heard's class they have the supplies that are needed to make them have a productive day.
