This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the first time you used a computer? My students want that same amazing experience!
I teach about 20 students each year at a high-poverty elementary school in California.
Most of the students in my class are English language learners who have low-income families. They come from hardworking families. It is a low performing school, but we have been improving the past few years. The students in my class love being in school everyday and I love teaching them. My students are intelligent, energetic, and ready to learn new and exciting information every day!
My Project
Having a laptop would greatly increase my students' interest in technology! Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. We have four computers in the classroom, and it is extremely hard to make sure all of my students get to use them each day. Having an additional portable laptop in my classroom would be an invaluable resource to my students.
I want my students to learn and understand 21st Century technology through the use of a laptop.
Your donation to this project would mean advanced learning and engagement. I hope that you consider donating to my students' learning and classroom experience!
