Learning What's Unique About Your Culture Through Art!
My students need various art materials such as printmaking ink, metal tools, and sculpture wire to create multicultural projects in the art room.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Jones's classroom raised $561

Being an art teacher, I want to promote cultural awareness within the art classroom. I work as a full time teacher at two elementary schools which means I serve students from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. The students I serve come from rural backgrounds with not a lot of exposure to cultural diversity.
In my curriculum, I like to teach lessons that highlight a region's cultural history-past and present. Some of the lessons that I want to expose my students to vary from Mexican Amate Paintings to Adrinka Printmaking from Africa to Japanese Origami.
Without the necessary materials such as metal tooling, origami papers, and printmaking ink, I will not be able to complete our lessons. It is my responsibility as a teacher to be able to provide opportunities for learning through a variety of media; which is essential for success in the art room.
You will make it possible for my students to create wonderful works of art while promoting cultural diversity and learning about the world around us.
