My students need the basic essentials (privacy partitions, paper, crayons, pencils, etc...) to be productive learners, these supplies will help them reach their fullest potential.

My Students
Hello Generous Donors,
I teach first grade in a low income neighborhood in the heart of Philadelphia.
My classroom this year will be MTSS friendly and will have 27 enthusiastic learners, each will be on a different learning level and I will need to think of creative ways to engage them and keep them focused.
Despite the adversity of the harsh area that surrounds our school and many of their homes. I am in constant awe of the resilience that they show. They come to school wanting to learn and shouldn't let something small like not having a pencil keep them from having their best day.
Our classroom is a safe place where all of my students are encouraged to be themselves and have fun while learning. Because of this, they look forward to coming to school everyday.
Thank you for your generosity.
My Project
Paper, pencils, and glue sticks oh my! The case of paper, pencils, and erasers will be used on the first day of school and will be continued to be instrumental in our classroom throughout the school year. The crayons, glue sticks, and colored paper will be used throughout the year to complete worksheets and art projects. The privacy partitions will be essential during our day and will ultimately be a time-saving tool because the students will no longer need to use folders to build a wall.
Imagine stressing about going to school in the first grade because you didn't have a pencil this is a reality for many of the students.
All of these supplies will play a crucial role in helping all of my students become better learners. The games will become Centers that the students can play on our Smartboard and work on their reading skills and have fun doing it!
