My Students
My classroom is a place where students’ diverse backgrounds and abilities are celebrated and viewed as an asset to their learning. I create a barrier-free learning environment in which the needs of all students are met, and students are empowered to express their learning in authentic ways. My students come from beautifully diverse backgrounds and include English language learners and students with disabilities.
Despite our position as an under-resourced urban public school, my colleagues and I strive every day to provide the highest quality learning experiences that enable our students to achieve their full potential.
My Project
We need a document camera, book bins and a new classroom carpet to enhance our learning. A document camera will enable students to share and celebrate their work with their classmates.
I have seen this tool transform student confidence and catalyze engagement.
A book bin for each student provides a home for student selected books from our classroom library, increasing interest in reading and providing a channel for individualized learning. The classroom carpet will be a bright addition to our learning environment, providing an organized and comfortable space for whole-group learning and community building.
All of these tools will be used by students on a daily basis and will directly benefit their learning all day long. Thank you for investing in the success of my students.
