Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials I am requesting have several different uses. The book bins will help our classroom to be more organized and help students be able to find books that they can and want to read. I'm finding organization has been a struggle for my students and the more organized the classroom can be, the better off they are. The wobble seats will allow for flexible seating options, especially for students who have a hard time sitting still. They will also be good behavior incentives for students who need to earn something different. Finally, relationship and social-emotional books have become crucial in my classroom since COVID. Many of my students missed out on those relationship-building years and need to be taught how to identify their emotions and regulate them. These resources would give me additional options to help my students work through their emotions.
