Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our School offers individualized attention and close collaboration with students and parents to ensure every student is successful. The school opened its doors in 1998 with a vision to inspire and succeed, and it has done just that. Accepting only certified teachers by the state of Florida, and with a 22 to 1 student to teacher ratio, this small K-12 school has packed quite an academic punch!
The students in my classroom are a mix of unique personalities and abilities.
They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success in our newly established distance remote learning platform. My students bring a special blend of linguistic diversity, background knowledge, prior experiences and culture to our school.
My Project
Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine. My students need Summer Bridge Activities to complete during the summer months. My students need kits that contain grade-level reading material. These kits also contain hands-on learning materials that make learning exciting!
Students will be able to prepare themselves for a successful school year.
In addition, access to digital materials with Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help to reduce summer slip and increase learning gains.
