This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite some of the challenges they face in and around their environment, every year my students come to school excited, full of life, and eager to learn.

I teach Pre-K.

I will serve approximately 19-24 students for the 2021-2022 school year with a wide range of abilities, needs, and concerns. My students are in a low income/high poverty school in which more than 80% of the students receive free or reduced-price meals.

When children have a strong foundation of learning, they are able to stay on track to remain in school, graduate, and pursue post-secondary education and training to successfully transition into adulthood.

Children make my classroom their home for however long they stay and miss it dearly when they move on. No matter who enters through my classroom doors, they become part of our school family.

My Project

The chart tablets, easel pads, and markers will be used to model writing and for student created anchor charts. They will be used during morning message. This lined paper helps kids locate the proper writing area and learn spatial sense between letters and sentences. Sticky easel pads are perfect to create anchor charts that you can hang around the classroom for reference and easily remove when necessary. The sticky notes will be used to create story maps, make charts, and to reflect on the day's learning.

These supplies will be used for classroom activities such as graphing, charting, brainstorming sessions, anchor charts and more.

Cardstock will be used to create resources for student learning, projects and flashcards.
