This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Third-grader (Noun) \ˈthərd grā-dər\ - Someone who is a mathematician, reader, writer, artist, scientist, dancer, leader, explorer, and friend. - Someone who needs access to technology, high-quality books and an inclusive place to learn.

My third graders are curious and they try hard - really hard.

They love to read, write, explore, and find answers to questions. Did you know that they are also bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate? They speak, read, and write in two languages, English and Spanish. That also means that during the school day, they learn in both languages.

My Project

For some it may be just a table, but for my students and I, this table provides endless opportunities for collaboration.

If you were to walk into my classroom, your will NOT see desks arranged in rows (we do not have any desks actually!).

What you will see are students working using the 'tools' that best work for them.

From writing on a lap desk, reading at a table or laying on the rug...I try to provide my students with the tools they need to be successful.

This table will allow my students to work collaboratively. This table will also be used for small group instruction. Help me help my students.
