My Students
My pre-K scholars are amazing! They are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.
As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement, and to become future leaders through a collaborative system of support" (our school's mission statement).
My Project
My scholars are using early literacy skills everyday. We love to read books, posters - anything that is around us we are learning to read from! I love exposing my scholars to new literacy materials.
Having a class set of “My Big World with Clifford” magazines will allow each scholar to practice literacy skills and connect to our areas of study.
I am so excited for my scholars to learn from developmentally appropriate magazines that are fun and engaging. I am also excited for my scholars to be able to bring them home and share them with their families. These magazines are a great way to strengthen a love for reading in my young scholars.
