I teach Kindergarten at a charter school in California. The mission of our school is to combine high academic standards with service learning and art integration.
It is challenging to maintain a library of books that are at a Kindergarten reading level. It is essential that they are able to successfully read simple books on their own. This empowers them to keep reading and instills in them a love of books.
Through parent and student recommendations, I have learned of Bob Books. This is a series of books written to meet the needs of the earliest readers. These books are engaging and accessible to young readers. Kindergarteners are able to read them independently, increasing their confidence and abilities.
By providing us with multiple copies of these lovely texts you will help ensure that all of the Kindergarteners in my class learn to read! What better gift for a child?
