This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am and ENL/SWD teacher in a charter school in the South Bronx. My students are immigrant middle schoolers that have been here in the U.S. less than a year and are learning how to read and write in English. The decodable books and workbooks will help them learn how to read by decoding words and sounds in English.

My students need extra instruction in English to help them in content areas in order to be and feel successful.

My students are high achievers in their first language and want to learn.
